I‑Park’s annual Illuminations benefit returns on Sept. 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., marking a milestone year: the organization’s 25th anniversary, celebrated through the shimmering theme “An Evening of Silver.”

This once‑a‑year event culminates in a special residency session featuring eight Connecticut‑based artists, each selected for a fully funded residency at I‑Park. Featured artists include Jennifer Allen, D Derek, Karen Kratzer, Cynthia MacCollum, Vedran Mehinovic, Kaitlin Santoro, Emily Teall and Brooke Toczylowski - a dynamic group whose work spans disciplines and embraces I‑Park’s unique landscape.

Guests are invited to arrive in silver‑inspired attire, meet the artists in their studios, and be among the first to experience the new site‑responsive works illuminated along I‑Park’s trails. The evening also features an experiential silent auction and Mediterranean cuisine from Moodus‑based Thena Pita Bar. Wine is generously provided by Sunset Hill Vineyard.

Illuminations promises a night of artistry, meet the artists in their studios, experience installations and community celebration. Wander the illuminated trails and gardens at twilight, enjoy dinner among friends and conclude the evening with dessert by the pond and a celebratory bonfire.

As I‑Park’s primary fundraising event, Illuminations supports fully funded artist residencies and helps sustain community engagement programs throughout the year. I‑Park is deeply grateful for the community’s ongoing support and looks forward to celebrating this special anniversary together.
