On April 4, the East Haddam Fire Department, East Haddam Fire Department Auxiliary and East Haddam Economic Development Commission welcomed more than 200 families from across the community to its annual Easter Egg Hunt, held this year at Goodspeed Airport.

On a gorgeous morning, and with the help of dedicated department members and volunteers, more than 10,000 colorful eggs were gathered up across the airfield grounds.  Children of all ages eagerly searched the grassy areas, filling their baskets with candy and gifts left by the Easter Bunny.

In addition to the egg hunt, families had the opportunity to meet firefighters and take photos with the Easter Bunny and planes. The event provided a fun and safe way for the community to connect with local first responders while celebrating the arrival of spring.

Lt. Michelle Walker coordinated the planning and logistics of the event with Lauren Pszczolkowski, East Haddam’s Economic Development Coordinator, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all who attended. The organizers extend their appreciation to Goodspeed Airport and to everyone who helped make the day a success.
